There are not really words to describe how absolutely amazing Jodie and her team are.

I moved into an older place which really need a lot of work and updating. Having no idea about what things cost or where to even start, Jodie and her team started with a “Utopia – if cost was not a barrier” outlook and broke everything down into areas with detailed cost estimates of every aspect to help with the understanding of what everything cost, timelines and detailed plans. This included samples of everything from cabinetry to paint to handles. It made it very easy to remove the things you didn’t need or want to bring everything into an agreed budget.

After some problems with a very difficult strata, Jodie helped to bring the plan right back to a much smaller renovation to help make my living situation more comfortable while I look to move. We renovated the kitchen and dining area, painted throughout, updated all electrical and plumbing and styled most of the unit. Jodie works with teams of trades people who are really fantastic, they are reliable, friendly, professional, neat and get the job done. She and her team are nothing short of miracle workers, they helped donate and clear out the furniture, appliances etc. that would be replaced, the styling was so well thought out, they just go above and beyond.

I have heard some real horror stories about doing a renovation but mine was relatively pain free thanks Jodie and her crew – and now I finally have a home I am proud of and like to come home to, and am even reconsidering my decision to sell. I could not be happier with my experience with JCD and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to renovate or redesign.

We engaged Jodie and her team after a friend's recommendation to make the new house we had moved into more functional and comfortable for our family's requirements. The house was newly renovated by the previous owner but lacked in certain areas like the main living area and a bedroom for our teenage daughter.

After our initial meetings and discussions Jodie presented us with well laid out plans and visuals on her computer complete with furniture choices that enabled us to picture the changes and new additions easily.

We had an extensive internal renovation taking 9 months by changing the whole feel of our home from French to Aussie coastal.

Jodie helped us come up with themes, ideas, colours and the general look and feel of what we wanted. I have worked with designers before who seem more interested in how the magazine photo looks vs what we want.

Jodie became a real partner in our project. She had the right balance of challenging us with new ideas and knowing when to accomodate our needs. We would meet on Friday mornings and by late morning the minutes and actions were out and underway. Jodie is very organised, efficient, helpful and has a great eye for design detail.

Jodie worked well with our builder and cabinet maker and has that ability to get on with anyone on site. Jodie did the design, the layout, the look and feel, and bought the furniture and other finishes as a one stop shop.

I cannot rate Jodie highly enough. I chose her through the Houzz app and have not looked back. What a positive experience this was. She achieved everything we had asked for and more. She is an amazing communicator and also totally “gets” what your dream might be even if you can’t totally imagine it yourself!

We started with a project that involved creating an extra bedroom in an existing space and we had also asked for complete new furnishings for this home we had just purchased. We ended up expanding the project a bit and a bit more and what a great result we have.

Jodie’s vision for our home combined with her understanding of how we live resulted in a home that exceeded all expectations. She project managed at my request and sourced the builder and cabinetmaker for us. They all worked so well together resulting in the project being completed on time (actually 2 weeks ahead of schedule). There was always open communication between all of us and Jodie organised regular site meeting. It was seamless and drama free.

We went shopping with Jodie to choose furniture and she was always mindful of cost and practicality for us. Furniture was ordered and delivered on time and she had the house ready for us to move into including the linen on beds (beds made), artwork on walls, and decorations in place.

Jodie is a pleasure and delight to work with and I cannot wait to continue to work with her in the future for a new kitchen and outdoor design. I would also absolutely work with the builders and trades she recommends.

Our project: complete renovation of our two storey 18yo 5 bedrooms, study, 6 bathrooms home into a modern contemporary Hampton styled home. Jodie was recommended to us by a close friend and she far exceeded all our expectations.

Jodie is an absolute delight to deal with - her high level of professionalism is reflected in all areas. She is very easy & pleasant to communicate with. For over one year, we were in constant (pretty much daily) communication with Jodie in the planning stage. No details were left uncovered and the result is a near 100 page fully detailed plan. These were completed within our planned time period.

Jodie helped us realized our dream home by actively matching & improvising our needs & desires from the way we live in the old home to a new sophisticated stylish modern living. Many designers design “their” house. Jodie designed “our” house - the way “we” live while maintaining design principles and theme throughout. A remarkable feat indeed.

Our project started on 9 July 2018 and finished on 26 Oct 2018 when we were handed the keys back for our house - one week of delay due to the torrential rain around mid-Oct. Jodie worked well & closely with our builder and our home was completed pretty much on time with a high level of quality. The high standard is maintained throughout and quality service has continued even on post completion where the usual minor adjustments/details are required.

We've worked with Jodie twice now, once on a 4 bdrm Penthouse apartment, built from scratch, which was ultra modern, styled to New York Penthouse, and most recently, a complete renovation of the interiors of a 2 storey, 4bdrm + study Federation home, styled to Hollywood Regency.

Both times Jodie led the design direction, but was open to our input, as after all, we were to be living in these homes.

Jodie is AMAZING!! We bought a 3BR apartment in Bondi Beach and did a complete gut renovation from top to bottom. We just moved to Sydney and didn't know who to use as our builder/contractor or where to shop for furniture/fabric/materials/fixtures/fittings/appliances.

So, she arranged everything and went with us to pick out all the items we needed. She was open and receptive to our design ideas and was great at suggesting alternatives in a professional and pleasant way. Jodie managed the entire project from start to finish and was constantly on top of things.

I had just moved into a new house in a brand new area and needed to get my head around what the aesthetic should be. I knew I wanted to put my own mark on the property but not having any contacts in the area, I asked around. Jodie's name was quickly mentioned several times - so I gave her a call to start the ball rolling.

I was instantly impressed by Jodies warm approach, as she took the time to understand me, my likes and dislikes and ideas I had in mind for the property. Jodie came up with some beautiful designs & styling which quickly elevated the final results.

From a business perspective I was very impressed at how responsive she was, answering all emails and calls very promptly. Once we narrowed down the choices, the top 2 or 3 were then summarised into a spreadsheet, which meant I knew every detail about the selections at a glance. Colour, dimensions, cost and delivery dates were all clearly outlined making it very easy to keep track everything. Brilliant for our busy lifestyles. Furthermore, I was impressed by her generous business model of passing on trade prices for all the furniture, artwork, rugs and decorator items you purchase as part of the project. Double bonus ! as this helps to stick to your budget easily.

So far we've completed stage 1 of our project and I have no hesitation in hiring Jodie and her team again to move forward with stage 2.

Jodie's ability to transform a room is extraordinary. After 18 years and 2 kids our house was looking a bit worn out and dated, but since Jodie became involved it has been refreshed, revitalised and modernised.

She is a pleasure to work with, listens to your needs and wants, and works with your budget. She pushes you out of your comfort zone if required which is a good thing! I wish I had known years ago of the advantages of using an interior designer; they have access to furniture that is not normally available to the public and hence with a more unique look/vibe than what is available in stores open to the public.

I also believe purchasing with or through her made significant cost savings due to the discounts she can get as a designer.

Jodie has been a pleasure to work with. She has assisted us with a couple of projects. Initially assisting with selections and design at the architectural planning stage of a modern Hamptons inspired new build. She worked with us on everything from design layouts, bathroom selections, kitchen cabinetry, floor coverings and paint colours.

Then secondly she assisted us in selecting and installing a whole new house with coastal/ hamptons inspired furniture and decor. She was able to balance our love of hamptons within a modern house.

I bought a brand-new city apartment from developer in end of 2018. I want to decorate it with the style of elegancy, but homey, and within my budget. I had contacted a number of designers from Houzz as well as from friends' recommendations.

I spent a lot of time interviewing them and hearing their suggestions. Eventually, I had chosen Jodie. The project took about 10 months from design to completion with a budget about A$250k. As I am overseas in Hong Kong, I have to rely on Jodie to do all the minor details of everything for me.

Apart from controlling the budget, I have given her almost a free hand from design to completion. When I saw the decorated apartment, it was exactly how I envisioned and better.

We had a lot of communications at all stages of the project, which I think is a very important factor of success in this project.

I would recommend Jodie to all her prospective clients as I am so fortunate to have her in designing, supervising and selecting accessories for the apartment.
