To say I was beyond excited is an understatement, when the owners of our Cremorne waterfront project asked me to design the boathouse and outdoor kitchen. The main house renovation was well underway, so it was great to have some more design work with them. They were happy to embrace a classic blue and white beachy theme and play up a little bit of kitsch coastal styling while meeting the brief requirements for a new kitchenette, storage and seating. The exterior had a complete makeover and a large amount of restoration work as the crew from HR Constructions brought in barges, lifted the entire structure to pour new concrete supports and re-built the sea wall and jetty. A fresh coat of paint in Colorbond ‘Deep Ocean’ completed the whole effect. You can read more about this in our press article. We were also privileged to collaborate with Space Designs who started the landscaping plan and we assisted with the outdoor kitchen design drawings and selection of cabinetry finishes, paint colours and appliances.
